L'inscription d'adultes, hors urgence, sur une liste d'attente en vue d'une transplantation cardiaque - 1997
La pénurie des dons d'organe qui s'accentue depuis 1990 a pour corollaire une diminution des transplantations cardiaques en France (632 en 1991, 559 en 1992, 526 en 1993, 429 en 1994, 408 en 1995) et une augmentation des décès des patients en attente d'une greffe: 8,7 % au 31 décembre 1993 et 10,6 % au cours de l'année 1994 [1].
Ces constatations ont conduit les deux groupes de travail de la Société française de cardiologie qui s'intéressent à l'insuffisance cardiaque et à la transplantation à mener une réflexion sur les meilleurs critères qui, en dehors des urgences, orientent la décision médicale vers l'inscription sur une liste d'attente en vue d'une transplantation cardiaque.
